Zhejiang will build Industrial Park for ICH typical inheritor

According to Department of Culture of Zhejiang Province on September 2, the first China (Zhejiang) Intangible Culture Heritage (ICH) Expo will be held on September 17. A meeting for national ICH typical inheritors and China time-honored brand enterprises settled in Zhejiang “Eastern Culture Park” will be held during the expo to offer suggestions. It is said to be the first industrial garden for ICH inheritors.

“To protect the ICH means to protect and inherit the culture diversity. Industrialization is one way, and we should make comprehensive statistic gathering and make practicable plans,” said Qiu Guodong, Director of Zhejiang ICH Protection Center. There will be over 600 items to be exhibited, covering more than 10 provinces and municipalities, most of which are national and provincial ICHs.

“We plans to build an ICH street in the ‘Eastern Culture Park’,” introduced Jin Gengchu, inspector from Department of Culture of Zhejiang Province. “Eastern Culture Park” is located in Xiaoshan district of Hangzhou, about 800 meters long and 70,000 square meters, with an investment of 0.2 billion. It will be a featured street of fine ICH, folk arts and traditional craft, folk custom, ICH performs, travelling, hotels, and snacks.
