Quality Brands Protection Committee is joining with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, International Chamber of Commerce, South China AmCham and the Guangdong Intellectual Property Office to stage a high-level forum on Innovation and Intellectual Property in Guangzhou, China on October 26-27, 2009.
The forum will bring together several hundred government leaders, top business executives, and experts from the Pearl River Delta (nine prefectures in Guangdong Province and Hong Kong) and the United States to exchange best practices and develop solutions to challenges in fostering innovation and to protecting and enforcing intellectual property Rights (IPR).
Work is well developed to secure the participation of senior government officials, including U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke, U.S. Ambassador to China Jon Huntsman, and Guangdong Party Secretary Wang Yang, as well as American and Chinese CEOs. Quality Brands Protection Committee is also close to finalising plans for the creation of a Joint Liaison Group (JLG) to become a platform for sustainable dialogue on Intellectual Property Rights in Guangdong.
