Beijing copyright "Olympic Games" to be held in October

The "2nd China International Copyright Expo" cosponsored by the General Administration of Press and Publication, National Copyright Administration, Beijing Municipal People's Government and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will be held in Beijing National Convention Centre from October 24 to 27. The expo is called as "the Olympic Games in Copyright Sector" by the Deputy Director General of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Michael S. Keplinger.

The expo aims at "communication, cooperation, innovation and development", fully exerts the role of "cultural soft strength" in macro economy, and shows the broad prospects of copyright economy with larger scale. The Secretary-general of the Organizing Committee of China International Copyright Expo and the Director General of the Copyright Management Department of National Copyright Administration Wang Ziqiang introduced that, the expo is divide into four parts including copyright forum, industries exhibition, themed activities and cultural performances, and the content will be richer compared with the first expo.

Moreover, the themed activities including "China Network Literature Festival", "China International Digital Music Festival" and "China International Video Cultural Festival" and other four activities will be held during the expo.

Wang especially indicated that, many guests from the related departments at high level will be invited to attend the expo, including overseas copyright organizations, domestic copyright management departments, copyright investment and financing institutions, famous copyright firms, professional service institutions and foreign embassies in China and so on.
