Artists behind Surge in Copyright Applications

The province's copyright registrations hit a new high last year, surpassing 96,180 - a 41.1% surge from 2017. Of them, nearly 81% were artistic creations, including paintings, calligraphy works and sculptures. Music and songs accounted for 11.7% of registrations. The rest were literary works, movies, videos and photos. The largest filer was Fuzhou, capital of the province. It contributed 41% of the total registrations, followed by Quzhou and Xiamen. The three cities accounted for a combined 94.5% of the province's copyright registrations.
