Counterfeit goods showrooms shut down

Hong Kong Customs officers arrested a 19-year-old Mainland woman and seized 3,000 pirated items worth $700,000 after raiding two counterfeit goods showrooms in Mong Kok and Yau Ma Tei yesterday.

They fake goods included handbags, wallets, suitcases, leather belts, scarves and watches.

The syndicate solicited foreign visitors near Tung Choi Street, Mong Kok, before taking them to the nearby showrooms. It also arranged for buyers to travel to the Yau Ma Tei showroom by taxi to avoid detection by authorities.
