The 18th China Invention Exhibition is held from Aug. 12 to 15 in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, showing China's invention and innovation fruits and boosting the industrialization of them.

The exhibition is hosted by China Association of Invention and Yunnan Provincial People's Government. More than 1,700 invention items from Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan are displayed at the exhibition.

With the exhibiting area of 8,000 square meters, the exhibition covers many fields, like mechatronics, electronic information, biology, medicine, energy and environmental protection. Besides, some teenagers' and ordinary people's inventions and innovations are exhibited there as well.

Secretary General of China Association of Invention Lu Dahan says that, under the shock of international financial crisis, some labor-intensive enterprises with low technical contents, depending on export and without IPRs are in troubled water. However, those enterprises that own IPRs and produce products with high technical contents have strong ability to resist risks.

And this exhibition will further integrate invention and innovation resources, collect cooperative opportunity, boost the transfer of invention fruits, and build up a service platform for invention fruits.

During the exhibition, National Invention Exhibition Prize and other special awards will be appraised.
