On June 24, the National Copyright Administration ("NCA")published the No. 1 Proclamation of 2007, together with the sample forms for the Notification to Remove or Disconnect Infringing Links and the Notification to Recover Links Removed or Disconnected.

The two guiding sample forms have been made in accordance with articles 14 and 16 of the Regulation on Protection of the Right to Network Dissemination of Information, to gradually detail the written notifications, through extensive research and the wide solicitation of ideas. Their release provides practical guidance on how to protect owners legal rights and expedite the performance by network service providers of their legal obligations. It will also help regulate copyright protection under the existing network situation in China and promote the healthy growth of the internet sector.
