Lisha Bruhn has been working in the field of intellectual property law since 2017. She is a results-oriented and determined patent attorney who quickly familiarizes herself with new technical matters based on her broad technical knowledge and extensive experience in industry and law firms. During her time as an engineer, Lisha acquired in-depth expertise in the fields of information technology, cryptography, chip card technology, security elements, automation technology, and banknote production.

At BDPE, she focuses solely on patent litigation.

Prior to joining BDPE’s Patent litigation team, Lisha trained and practiced in IP at a prominent mid-size patent law firm, where she focused on patent prosecution in electrical engineering, mechanics, and computer-implemented inventions.

Lisha holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and information technology at the South-Central University for Nationalities in China and Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea. She also holds a master’s degree in practical computer science at the Fernuniversität Hagen, Germany, specialising in cryptography and automation technology.

Lisha started her career as a hardware engineer in the Mobile Security section of Giesecke + Devrient Information Technologies.

Lisha is one of the few German and European patent attorneys who is a native Chinese speaker, offering a rare combination of linguistic and cultural fluency that enables her to detect nuances in Chinese-language documents.
